So much of it is never what I had wanted and I regret having been part of it, especially in encouraging you to be part of it too. Yet, by God’s grace, we learn and we move on - ultimately to be more Christ-like. I have learnt so much from us - both on what I need to do and what I look for - and I hope you have too.

I am sorry it is probably still the same answer.

Some thanksgiving

I had social with my bible study group today. I really like my group - for the people and for the discussions (Romans!) we have every Wednesday evenings. I appreciate that I see them on Sunday morning services too (one of the reasons I had in deciding whether or not to settle down with the group). I am also very thankful for my leaders who look out for me - J cooked (he’s such a brilliant cook mmm!) and he made ‘brain food’ so I could ‘improve exam performance’, and H and J both asked about when my exams were so they could plan a social just before that. It is really sweet of them.

I thank God for the opportunities to interact with people of all ages. Interacting with my nieces and nephew (Oh I miss them so much!) and teaching primary school kids have shown me how to handle kids. Interacting with youths at youth ministry have shown me how to work with youths. And now with my bible study group, I’m interacting with the working class/middle age! And that is something I was not gaining in my home church. I am very very thankful for such exposure with fellow believers in Christ here. This reminds me of how Church should look like - the diversity of ages, backgrounds, and nationalities - indeed, this is how Church should be.

I am three weeks away from going home. Such anticipation and excitement! This reminds me of how life on Earth should feel - how often do we anticipate and are excited about ‘returning home’ to Heaven with God? How often are we so satisfied and caught on with life here on Earth that it seems that that is all that matters? I am so guilty of that and it translates to my daily living - worrying about every single what-seems-insignificant matter when really, there is nothing I can do except to trust God to work! Yet, I thank God that He reminds me to pray about this struggle daily and for friends that remind me of the need to trust and obey Christ. Indeed, let us gives thanks continually - to God, and to our fellow siblings in Christ. Ah, three weeks :D

There is so much to thank God for but let’s keep to the above for now. Thank you Lord, for bringing me to London and revealing yourself to me. Please continue to do so and help me to do your will. Amen.
